Over 30 years of successfully completed instrumentation projects on a world wide basis is the secret of EDG strength. Why not join a winning team?

EDG's strength lies in the hundreds of instrumentation projects conducted over the last 30 years and the vast experience so gained. EDG's instrumentation services covers a wide range of industries and applications and is the backbone of EDG's control and instrumentation capabilities

Instrumentation activities covered include the spectrum of electronic (and pneumatic) equipment from field instrumentation to control systems including conventional panels, distributed control systems, SCADA, DCS and PLC based systems. In depth knowledge of all aspects of instrumentation from hazardous areas to sophisticated bus technologies give EDG the capabilities to undertake your project. Whether your application be offshore, onshore, building, water, defence, petrochemical, power, to mention but a few, then EDG has proven expertise.

Our scope of work has covered all aspects of design from feasibility studies and instrumenting P&ID's through detailed specification of equipment, vendor selection, procurement, inspection, installation supervision as well as providing a complete turnkey solution.

In addition to instrumentation of new plants particular expertise has been gained in the engineering of instrumentation upgrades for existing plants in conjunction with the implementation of computer based control systems. Many projects of this type have been successfully implemented and EDG's expertise in this area is truly on a world wide basis.

Engineering implementation has been enhanced by the extensive use of Computer Aided Design for drawing production and the use of database systems for instrument scheduling, allowing flexible and cost efficient incorporation of design changes throughout all phases of engineering. These facilities have now been combined to offer a complete integrated package, either using EDG's in-house packages or one of the accepted industrial packages (eg Rebis), such that fast track projects have been undertaken and consistently completed on time.
