EDG provides a comprehensive list of Construction Management services to a wide and varied range of industries. This has included management of construction contractors and turnkey projects. This "menu" of offerings permits clients to select only those services required to fill specific construction project needs.

Involvement can be all-inclusive with EDG furnishing the full menu, i.e. procuring all equipment and materials, contracting for all construction services, providing experienced personnel to supervise construction and commissioning the finished installation. On the other hand, the need may be no more than that of providing Third Party Representation in coordinating the activities of the general contractor and sub-contractors, thus protecting the client from labour down-time and cost over-runs.

Scope of Services

EDG approaches Construction Management from the "Total Reach" philosophy. Working closely with EDG Engineering and its companion, EDG Technical Services, the team may become involved in field surveys, their analysis and the recommendations to be drawn therefrom. Construction Budget Preparation is a frequent client request along with Materials and Labour Management. A part of such work is often the preparation of appropriate Bid Documents and an objective evaluation of the respondents. Finally, Commissioning, Training, even the actual operation of a plant if that is the client's need.

As indicated, EDG utilizes the Project Team approach to any given Construction Management assignment. As one would expect the team is supported by the computerized, Critical Path method of design, procurement and scheduling and also has access to a current information library of engineering standards and vendor catalogue data from around the world on a 24 hour basis. In every case, it is EDG policy to keep clients currently and fully informed on the physical and financial status of their project normally offering comprehensive monthly or weekly reports as per the project requirements.
